Q. I can’t find any prices on your website. How can I get these?
A. There are so many variables and options related to pricing that it wouldn’t be helpful to lay these down without further information from you, as they may be subject to change. The time of year, the venue, the technical requirements, the lighting requirements, the vision and theme you have for your event are just some of the factors that will influence your final package. The advantage of what we do at DJ2K is that we create the wedding, or the event, of your dreams. We have a number of packages but most of our clients will pick and mix from our extensive selection of wonderful entertainment options. For example you may want DJ, room drapery and a starlit dance floor. Or DJ, confetti shower and photobooth. Or any other combination. As a guideline, our clients spend anything from £600 to £2000 or more with DJ2K depending on their budget and requirements. Q. I’m booking DJ2K. What happens next?
A. If you’ve already booked then you’ll have paid your deposit. We understand how time flies however, and as you get closer to your event, we’ll need some other things from you. Here’s a reminder;
• Six weeks before your event, you’ll need to settle your remaining balance.
With the boring bit out the way, now’s the time to focus on the fun part – getting the party started!
• No later than four weeks before the event, come back to our website and fill out our event questionnaire. This will give us the initial information we need to build a picture of your musical tastes and preferences, any specific requirements and areas where you’re looking for additional advice.
• Are you aware of all our event enhancements? Do take a look, if there’s anything else we can do to make the night even more amazing, it’s not too late to talk to us.
• As your event gets closer, we’ll be on hand to talk through the playlist, arrangements, arrival times, your additional events services (if applicable) and any other questions you may have. So do get in touch.
• The day of the event? We’ll be there, in plenty of time to set up. All that’s left for you to do, is to enjoy a sensational party for you, your family and friends.
Q. Can I book just one of your services or do I have to book a whole package?
A. We are entirely flexible and here to provide whatever you need for your perfect event. If it’s just DJ you’re looking for that’s absolutely fine or you can pick and mix from our other services. You can also pick from a variety of packages, or we can create a bespoke one just for you following a no-obligation chat or meeting.
Q. Do you just do parties or other events too?
A. We love all events and we’re highly experienced in delivering DJ and events entertainment for weddings, corporate events, 18th and 21st birthdays, other birthdays and special occasions, awards and industry events and more. Our principles stay the same; we’re there to make your night. We have the DJs, drapery and décor solutions, events innovations like starlit dance floors, photobooths and selfie-mirrors and they are all suitable for all occasions.
Q. Do your DJs have playlists, do we request what we want or is it a combination?
A. Our event questionnaire is designed to capture the information we need to build the playlist that is perfect for you and your guests. Our pre-event conversations and meetings will also explore how you want the party to progress through different music genres during the evening. Our DJs are there to make your night. Of course, through our extensive experience we know the popular tracks but we’re able to accommodate all preferences and also react and adapt the playlist to the audience on the night. Our song slips will also give your guests the opportunity to request their favourite songs. Our only mission is to get everyone dancing and having a good time.
Q. Can you recommend ideas for music for the night?
A. Absolutely. Our many years of experience means we know what tracks are ideal to get the party started, keep it rocking and to finish the night on a high. We’re more than happy to explore ideas with you in our pre-event meetings and conversations.
Q. Do your DJs interact with the audience?
A. Absolutely. But of course, we’re here to make your party so we’ll be guided to an extent by your preferences. Our feedback consistently points to the impact the personality and interaction the DJ had on the party and how guests felt the DJ was important to the success of the night. Our small team of DJs are handpicked based on their talent and skills in delivering the right level of interaction and their ability to get the party started and staying awesome all night long.
Q. If it’s already a nice function room, why do we need additional lighting, drapery or décor?
A. Of course, it’s entirely up to you as to what additional options you prefer. But most function rooms, however beautiful, are really a blank canvas. Why have blank when you can have breath-taking? Using mood lighting, drapery and other décor items you can elevate the room to your perfect party room; taking it from intimate and romantic, to party-focused over the course of the day or evening and adding touches that will wow your guests and keep them talking for days. A first dance on a starlit dance floor could not feel more special and items like giant illuminated letters add fun and glamour to the occasion. We have lots of experience and creative ideas around how to maximise on the space in the venues around London, Surrey and the Home Counties.
Q. How does the set-up process work on the day?
A. Thanks to our extensive experience, we’ve already worked in many of the fantastic venues around Surrey, London and the Home Counties. So we know the events and facilities staff and venues inside out. We’ll liaise with them directly regarding access times and we’ll allow all the time that’s necessary to arrive, set up, drape the room and have everything ready seamlessly for you and your guests.
Q. I’ve seen a few different photobooths, what is your one like?
A. We invest in leading edge latest innovations in events entertainment so our photobooths and selfie-mirrors are a real hit. Our photobooths are designed to offer incredible fun and even make your guests feel like VIPs. The unlimited photos are dry-touch and amazing quality and using green screen technology the backgrounds and special effects add additional fun to the process. We also supply a good range of comedy props. Selfie Mirrors raise a giggle, as witty comments come back at your image. Both will be managed by a uniformed technician on the night.
Our booths range from the highly popular pictured vintage style, to a black glossy VIP style booth which even comes with red carpet and rope for that superstar feel. Highly versatile, our booth ‘skins’ can be themed, bespoke or branded for corporate events – just talk to us to find out more.
Q. Do you only operate in Surrey and the local area?
A. Whilst we are a recommended DJ and events company for many of the most prestigious venues around Surrey, London and the Home Counties, we don’t purely operate within these boundaries.
