Hi, there everyone. How are you on this fine day?
DJ DANNY: Great.
DJ SCOTT: Were all great, super in-fact.
DJ JOHN: Speak for yourself, I did an 18 th birthday party last night!
DJ DANNY: So?
DJ JOHN: So! They made me play Crazy Frog!
DJ ALEX: Ohhhh, the dreaded crazy frog song.
Okay, okay were sidetracking already. Can I just ask you a few simple questions?
DJ SCOTT: The simpler the better!
DJ DANNY: Simple, half of us would fail a blood test.
DJ JOHN: Okay very funny, which makes a nice change! We are supposed to be conducting an interview.
( 5 minute cool down period)
DJ DANNY: So what would you like to ask us?
I was interested in finding out how you all got together as a group of djs?
DJ JOHN: Well we have all been friends for a few good years, I met Danny and Alex through Scott. I learnt to dj by going to events with all three.
DJ SCOTT: You learnt from the best!
DJ DANNY: We all knew for a long time that John had the ability to become a great dj. It was a case of waiting for him to realise it for himself.
DJ ALEX: Me and Danny started djing at a very early age. We would dj together almost every night of the week at reputable venues. Danny was playing really great music back then which was incredible considering we had limited experience. I think my strength was working the crowd with the mic, which made us a very good dj partnership.
DJ DANNY: That was ten years ago! Things have really grown since then. In those early years we took a lot of influence from each other and gained invaluable experience. I think we fell in love with the game and that’s why our careers took off right from the word go!
So guys… If you could take one song to a desert island, which one would it be?
DJ SCOTT: Simple, Hotel California by The Eagles.
DJ DANNY: Difficult question to ask a dj, it would have to be an album and I would choose Stevie Wonders greatest Hits.
DJ ALEX: Call Me Al, the eighties would not have been the same with out it…
DJ JOHN: There is not one song really. One I could listen to the most would be Iris by Goo Goo Dolls.
Just to finalise, there’s one more question. How would you describe your company?
DJ DANNY: The way we’re running things and the djs we have, DJ2K is bringing mobile entertainment into the 21 st century. No more Peter Kay style djs who talk to much or not enough and play music they want to here. This is the thing that so many djs just don’t get. It’s all about playing to the crowd, no two crowds are the same. The crowd is all that matters.
DJ SCOTT: Can’t agree more…
DJ JOHN: That’s quite prolific of you!
DJ ALEX: ehhhhh! Isn’t that an ocean?
